Assumption

One of most people (AFAIK it's mean "All", includes me) do in their life is assuming (you may say "guessing"). There are some situation which may forces people to assume, not always a bad situation (sad, sorrow, stress, etc), a good and nice situation either. Assumption is a proposition that is taken for granted, as if it were true based upon presupposition without preponderance of the facts. I'm not saying it's good or bad, because it is a human's nature, but there is a wise advice to reconsider some things before we decide to assume anything.

Let me bring you back to how human's brain works. Imagine that you are know in a multi purpose organization. There must be some departments with some agents inside. Each department and agent are not always works independently, in some (could be most) case, communication and collaboration beneath departments or agents inside is required to gather and fulfil necessaries information. Human's brain consist of 1,000,000,000,000 inter-connected cells (neurons), a huge number isn't it? In each cell there is a core (nucleus), which is not just a core. Nucleus is a brain of the neuron itself ( brain inside brain? Subhanallah..). Brain cell works by making some complex connection with other thousand neurons through akson (imagine a backbone of computer network). Every cell has a tentacle (dendrit) as a tool to communicate each other.

That was the description how human's brain works when we learn, think, remember, feel, or other function related to our brain and mind. When one cell connected chemically and electrically with other cell, a nerv path is created. A cell may learn or teach other cell, exchange some information they have. The amount of connection is more important than the amount cell, it means that information, knowledge, and experience are the most important factor of brain and mind. We interact to world through five senses we have and learn by experience we got. In short, there are five principles of mind :
  • Mind always explore and understanding world, searchs some new information and experience (curiosity aspect).
  • Mind always makes some relation of datas and try to fulfil if there is any lack (insufficient) information.
  • Mind always makes pattern as archives (memories aspect).
  • Mind often to imitate, except of natural knowledges we got from GOD.
  • Mind can't works good in stress, and return to basic function : survive.

From the principles above, we might knew why there is an assumption in our mind. Yep, assumption came from the lack of information. When we receive partial information we need, our mind will try to complete it by processing every available memories, knowledge, and experience we got. Every assumption has two equal possibilities, right or wrong. AFAIK, there are to type of assumption, bad or good. Bad assumption usually came from bad and lack information such as gossip, under estimation, over convidence, etc. While good assumption usually came from mature and advanced experiences, and most confirmed information.

In further, assumption could lead to ambiguous and hesitate mind, even when if we think we got enough information. Hey.., it's OK.. as human being we still can't precisely predict what happen next. We are not life without guidance isn't it? There are many rules, criteria, and experience we have learn as guidence. You can pick any guidence you like, but it's better if that will not harm other people. Sometime it will be better if we reconsider our mind from other perspective, perhaps it might reduce the risk of bad result of assumption we will make.

Sometimes, we need an intuition

asumsi sih perlu tapi hati-hati karena kalo terlalu mengansumsikan sesuatu berdampak kita selalu ragu dalam mengambil tindakan :)

harus seimbang antara intuisi dan asumsi..

To make proper assumption needs knowledge and more related information...
